7 - Describe a family member

There is this one member in the family, a guy who is actually very close to me. He’s my closest cousin among all the cousins. In the family, there will always be one member who is somehow different from everyone but not totally different. Not physically different but mentally different.

This cousin of mine is named Bryan, he is actually in a rich family because his dad has a very successful business. At first, he was not spoiled to his dad, but then he became spoiled anyway. He became spoiled because of his dad, his dad kept giving what he wanted. His dad kept giving him stuff even though it’s his birthday, stuff that are actually worth a lot money like the latest cell phone or the latest game device for playing like the PS3. His so spoiled, sometimes he doesn't even obey his dad right away because his too busy with the PS3. He’s always one of the reasons why their family doesn't eat on time. If ever I’m with him playing, I sometimes ask him or talk to him but the problem is that most of the time he doesn't reply to me, maybe he does reply but in a very late time. Though I play with him sometimes because his dad actually bought him two controllers but requested just for me to be able to play with him, which is actually a good thing for me. But then I spoke too soon because during our game, we were actually against each other, so for me to win, of course I have to beat him in the game. Now we played this game called FIFA, a football game. We both love playing football in real life actually that’s we also love that game but when we played, it was his first time to play it. Me I played that game since before he had the PS3, I played FIFA already in the PS2 that’s why I know how to play that game. Now when we played, at first we were both having fun but when the time came that I was already winning. He’s starting to heat up and his trying his best to win the game because his score is way below than my score. In short, he’s not a good sport when it comes to games, he loves winning all the time. He’s actually a much challenged guy to some people. But the good thing about him is that his a bright person, he’s actually good in school now not unlike before he was home-schooled  Before he was home-schooled, he kept failing his grades back then but now not anymore.

       Now this cousin of ours has to know more, which is actually possible somehow because his still young for his age. He’s going learn more and more and his going to get matured when the time comes.

6 - Why does it always have to be me?

      Chores are actually things that should be followed especially if the parents were the ones who tell you to do this and do that. Chores at first are easy but when it gets longer and longer, It’s really hard to always do the chores

      Well for me chores are the ones that is being abused to me especially to my dad. Every time he wants something to get, he calls me right away. Chores at home is sometimes almost who does it every day. I don’t really know yet why they always choose me for some of the chores. I’m also not sure if they’re already abusing me somehow. Well because some of my brothers and sister are somehow lazy though I am lazy sometimes but I guess my brothers and sister are lazier than I am. Every time my dad’s going to do something important and he’s needing help, most of the time the first name he calls is me. If ever I don’t answer, it’s Bernise’s turn whose name is actually going to be called. Chores are actually somehow my cup of tea, but sometimes laziness just really attacks in any way. That’s why there some times that I wasn’t able to do or finish. Well somehow it’s okay because most of the time, I’m the one who does the chores.

      If you encounter stuff like that, sometimes you have to fight for it somehow. Only if ever you are being abused somehow. Take note, do chores but don’t abuse yourself because it’s hard if it always have to be you who’s doing it.

5 - how do you feel about competition?

      Competitions are what people watch always now a day especially if the siblings of the parents are part of it. Competitions are actually fun to watch because if ever you’re watching a competition, you’re going to have to choose your team or favorite team. There’s no thrill if ever you’re just going to watch without even choosing which side you are. Competitions happen almost every summer, I’m not sure why but that’s what I've noticed.

      I've been in a competition once, the sport was football. It was actually fun if you are in a competition. But of course you should at least have some supporters. Without supporters, somehow you will not feel like playing especially if you’re already going to lose. Supporters are very important in if you’re in a competition.  In competitions, it’s very hard not to sleep early because based on my experience, I tried not sleeping early then the next after the competition, I got sick and felt like vomiting a bit. That’s why you should always take note to self, sleep early if ever you have a match or competition the following day. Having full energy is very important because if you’re in the game, you’re not going to get tired right away because you were like fully recharged with your sleep.

      Being in a competition is actually how they say it an “honor” to in the team. Now you being chosen for a competition, you should really step up on your game because you were chosen to go against a strong team of course. Having a practice for the competition is actually tiring and hot but it really helps you a lot.

      Talking about this competition, one should be familiarized about it. Competitions are actually nice especially when it comes to school competition.

4 - If I could do it over again

      I had this relationship back then but I was already in college. This relationship ended and didn't end well. It wasn't able to be brought to the next level and it was all because of me, if I was only given another chance and to do it over again but in a right and meaningful way.

      In this story, I was the bad one because I was actually the one who started it somehow. I was the one who went to her and tried to have a relationship. But unfortunately I ended it but with so much regrets. I’m not so sure why I ended it but maybe because I became scared especially when she said that she’s already falling in love with me. When I knew about it, I felt really happy of course because I also had the same feelings with her. But I don’t really know why I felt scared. I guess I was not that ready yet. I really felt sorry for her because I just left her hanging which was a very stupid thing to do. I should have given some effort to her, and I could went with her all the time, and not just saying a “Hi” then say bye all the time. I knew that she really loved hugging people especially the person she’s in love with. I wish I have given her so much hugs every time we see each other. But everything’s too late now, now that’s already over and she doesn't want to give me another chance.

      With that relationship, I shouldn't have given it up because until now I still have feelings for her and I actually don’t know how to remove it because it really hurts, if I was just given another chance, to do It over again but this time with full of love and care.

3 - My Dream Room

      I want to have a very cool room. A room that only me has it but other doesn't. A room that's very futuristic and more related to technology. A room that's like in a spaceship.

      The room I want; starting with the door,  I want it having a hand scan for you to open it. And I want it opening in side ways with a cool sound effect, like the sound effect in a spaceship when it opens. Next are the walls, I want one part of the wall having a widescreen television that's a touch screen. The screen should be really hard like a tampered glass, like when you hit it or throw something at it, it won't brake the glass. Then another part of the wall, I want to put a built in refrigerator. Where you just press one button, it already opens easily. And the entering part , I want a voice greeting you like good afternoon Bernard once you've opened the door. With the lights, I want them like the light style in the movie "Tron". Where every light is neon and bright enough to light up the whole room. Next is the bed, I want my bed a water a bed but the bed should never pop or get destroyed because of the durability. And inside it, there is a neon light that changes color. Then the windows, I want it bright even though it's already night time. I also want a desk that is made up of glass and lights in it it, including the chair as well.

      That's how I want my room to be. Where everything is very cool and futuristic. I hope not only my room will be that cool, but also the things outside like the buildings or the streets.

2 - My Favorite Subject

      In school, there are so many subjects, there some subjects that I really hate but there are subjects that I really like as well. But from all the subjects that I like, my most favorite is the PE subject and I think almost everyone does. But me having this as my most favorite has many reasons and I will be sharing them to you why.

      First of all in PE, I can almost play all my sports but it depends with the school where I’m studying though. My most played sports are table tennis, football, basketball and volleyball. Actually I was able to play all those sports in our PE class. I was always excited to have a PE because of the sports that I really love playing. Every time we play basketball, we always play 5 on 5 on the court. But the sport that really made my grade in PE really high was the sport table tennis though I always pass PE of course, almost everyone does. Anyway, I get so excited with PE because of that sport, in PE, we had some competitions. In the competitions, I actually win most of the time even though I go against the good players. For some reason I don’t lose right away with that sport. Though I lose sometime s of course, but if I lose, I always try to beat that player who was able to beat me in that sport. Next, we go with the negative parts of my favorite subject. First thing I somehow don’t like but depends though is the dancing part. In elementary and high school, I really didn’t like going to PE class because of that dancing lesson. But in college it’s different though you still have to learn some of the elementary and high school lessons. The dance teaching I really liked was the hip hop dancing. I actually love dancing though I know I’m not that good at it. With this lesson, we actually had a competition with the other sections or block. Now us hearing that made us a bit nervous but a bit excited because we know that we will have fun and because we also have a classmate who can teach us what and how to dance at the same time. We practiced so much until the day of the competition.

      After the competition, we all actually had a perfect score, even all the blocks and sections that were included in the competition. We had so much fun dancing with our classmates because we really had a blast and because all the practice was worth it.

1 - Daydreams

      Every time you are not focused with something or someone. You sometimes get these daydreams going on inside your head. Daydreams are actually cool because you get to see what you are daydreaming with the use of your mind. This is actually what I always do by nature in life.

      This daydreaming happens to me all the time especially in class. I always think of some things that I’ve done in the previous time. Like me thinking of the good times in past, maybe even the things that will happen in the future. I somehow predict some things that will happen ahead of time. Sometimes the things that I predict happens, sometimes it doesn’t. Daydreaming for me is actually a relaxation in a way. For me it’s like a time of sleeping especially when you are very sleepy. By the time I think something, I daydream right away. Some people actually see me daydream all the time that’s why they know my face in a daydream style. They say I always look serious and my eye closes a bit. That’s the sometimes tap me and say Bernard you’re daydreaming again. But I don’t like them doing that because as I've said daydreaming is somehow a relaxation for me I don’t fully know why yet.

      If you daydream, it can only mean that you’re really tired or you just want to think of something really deep.

8 - how do you get along with your cousins

"Good Time"



Family time is very important to us cousins. If ever we don’t see each other for a long time, we always plan a family gathering with our uncles’ house, or even our house.

We cousins are like brothers and sisters, we treat very closely. Every time we see each other, we always play games like one is the board games. We play the monopoly or the game of life. We love playing those games because at the same time we make fun of them. The other one is the guesstures, it’s a game where you do charades. This is one of our most played and favorite game to play. We go boys versus girls, and fortunately, us boys always win. Well not always but most of the time. Every time we see each other, we always look for games to play because if we can’t find anything to play. We make fun of our parents; we play rough with them and take a lot of pictures. That’s how crazy we get if we’re not occupied or not doing anything. The other game that we always, as in always play is the card games. First we play the “pusoy dos”; we always play this game because it’s our favorite card game. Then we play the game 1, 2, 3 pass, we only play this game if we’re to many which actually the fun part. We love hanging out in the malls, we go to timezone to play racing games or the shooting of the basketballs. But the number one thing that we always do is to watch movies together, in the cinemas or even at home watching with the DVD. Our favorite type of movie is the comedy. We also have vacations like going to the beach in Subic or Cagayan. We love beaches so much, we love island hopping and using the Jet Ski. We always go to deep places but if there’s a jelly fish, we always swim away right and go out of the water. We do performances on every event like Christmas and New Year. Dancing, singing and playing the instruments are the performances we do on these events. Our family loves dancing in parties especially if there’s a dance floor.

We cousins love each other like brothers and sisters. We never leave each other’s backs because we always got each other’s backs.

7 - experience in the hospital

"Awful Experience"



It was elementary, grade two in the school called Manresa school. I had an accident and this is actually my very first serious accident. That’s why I will never forget this experience of mine during my elementary days.

It all started when my adviser left the room for a while, then my friend and I played and went outside the classroom but only by the door. We kept running outside playing tag. Suddenly, our adviser was back, but the problem was where I was standing, my adviser will see me. So I ran and hid somewhere she can’t see me playing outside. But unfortunately when I was running, I wasn’t watching where I was going then that’s the time I hit my head on the gate. When my head got hit, I almost blacked out because I got dizzy but I didn’t really feel the pain, just dizziness. I ran to my adviser to check my head if it’s okay, but when she saw it. She shouted a bit because it didn’t really look good, meaning it was really a bad hit on the head. She brought me to the clinic rushing while my head was dripping blood on the floor. When we arrived the clinic, the nurse checked on it, wiped all the blood and tried to stop the bleeding because I’m already losing some blood. When the bleeding stopped, she told me and my adviser that I should be brought to the hospital. I got scared a bit because I hate the hospital especially with surgeries and stuff. Anyway, they brought me to the hospital and had my head scanned with an X-ray. The X-ray was not that bad but it was really a deep hit on my head. The doctor let me lay down on the bed and told me to relax a bit. Then the doctor started injecting some anesthesia beside the wound, he injected around two times or three. It really hurt so I screamed really loud because the doctor said it’s okay to scream anyway. After the anesthesia, they tried stitching the wound to close it. When the stitching was done, they cleaned some mess and wiped all the blood. The doctor told me that my wound is already okay, and then he gave me some names of the medicine to use for the healing. After everything, we went back to the school to call up my parents. When my parents heard of the accident, they were so shocked and scared for me. So they rushed coming to our school to pick me up.

This accident, I find it as a lesson learned. Next time, while I’m running, I will always watch where I’m going.

"Lesson Learned"


There was this birthday of ours, where my sister and I was given a scooter. The color I had was yellow and the color red for my sister. We were so happy when we got that birthday gift. We kept using the scooter outside the house which is on the streets or sidewalks. We were having so much fun because we a routine by the sidewalks, we also kept playing the game following the leader. Playing that game with the scooters, we kept following each other’s backs on every path we go. Then there was this time that we got fed up with our routine outside our house. So we asked our dad if we could with him farther to try some different routes with our scooter. Then he said yes, while he was jogging, we were using the scooter. We left the house happily and excitingly. So we kept using our scooters on every way we want while our dad was jogging beside us. Then there was this street that’s going down and it’s pretty high actually. We got excited with it because it’s were going to ride slide but using our scooters. Then suddenly, in the middle of that street, my sister suddenly stumbled and landed on the ground. Her wrist got hurt so bad and gave her a sprain. She stood up, sat down on the side walk for a while and put her head down because of the pain. Our dad was going down quickly. And I went back for her right away. With that accident, we had a lesson learned on just not going to streets with rides like the scoter right away.

5 - My jobs at home

Having jobs at home is hard especially when you have so much. We’re three brothers and sisters in the house but still I almost do all the chores and woks.

Now having these jobs is very tiring especially when it’s every day. But unfortunately I go to school almost every day as well. So those are being done by me most of the time, at night or even at the weekends. At night, I always wash the dishes as in always unless after eating I fall asleep. That’s the time they wash the dishes like my big brother or my mom. But that only happens seldom because my mom or my dad gets mad at me if ever I don’t wash the dishes especially if my mom washes it. Because counting that my mom already cooked the food, then she’s also going to wash the dishes and actually makes her really tired. My dad doesn't want that especially if something happens bad to her from tiredness. That’s one of the reasons why I don’t sleep right away despite that we always eat late dinner. Every event or occasion in the house, I always wash the dishes because we don’t have a made to do it. I’m actually busier on doing the dishes that entertaining the guests. But it’s okay for me because it’s not always anyway.  The other chore will be mopping the house, I always mop the house every clean up day. Though at least my sister brooms the floor then I mop. So that mopping chore is actually not that hard in a way. The other chore is the cleaning of the comfort room but only the boys though. Because my sister or sometimes my mom cleans there comfort room. But in the boys comfort room is mostly me doing or cleaning it. Though my big brother cleaned but only if ever it is needed.

But doing these chores is okay because at least I please my parents by obeying them on doing these jobs at the house.

4 - Talk About Buying Your Own Clothes

"Talking About  Buying Your Own Clothes"

The month before I bought my own clothes was December. It was Christmas when I got the money to buy my clothes and stuff. The money I got for Christmas was actually sort of high. It was high enough to buy the clothes that I want. I have been planning to buy my own stuff rather than asking money from my parents. Right now, I want to learn how to be independent. Anyway, after the month of December, that's when I planned on buying my own clothes.

When I was nearby settled on buying my own stuff, I asked my parents if we could go to a mall or somewhere I can buy my needed clothes. My mom's first suggestion was Landmark, but I said I don't actually like it there. So I asked why not SM. My mom agreed because there are also lots of good clothes to buy there. So when everything was decided, we set a date on the day when we're going to buy my clothes. When it was the day already, we dressed up and left the house at around two in the afternoon. The time we arrived the mall, we went straight to the SM department store. They asked me what is the first thing I want to buy. I said I wanted pants. We went to the pants section and thank God because they are discounted and there exactly the pants I've been wanting to buy for myself. I looked for my size, fit them, and then bought them. After my pants, I went to the second thing I want to buy which was the polo. I chose my favorite color and design, chose the size for me and then I bought them. When I was done with my clothes, that was the time I bought the little stuff like the baller, ring or any cool accessory.

When we finished buying the stuff I want, we went home. Before we went to sleep, I thank my parents so much.

3 - The Planned Surprise

It was the birthday of my cousin named Allison. She loves surprises but the problem is that it's very hard to make a surprise for her because she's very good at knowing if ever there is a surprise for her. So we made a surprise birthday party for her and made sure that she will never expect a thing.


It was actually her friend how planned this for her. So what happened is that she tried to contact her mom which is my auntie. Then they talked about it and the mom said okay, she actually said that it was a great plan because she has been planning to do that to her daughter as well. We knew about the surprise because the mom of Allison called us up to know the plan for birthday. When we knew about it, we all said that it was a great plan for her. We all loved this plan because she has been making surprises for us, so it's time to make a payback. We reserved a clubhouse for her which is actually located inside her village. So we planned to bring her to the mall first for her not to expect anything because the clubhouse that was reserved is right beside her house. Our other cousin was the one who brought her to the mall to make the shopping distraction. The meeting time at the clubhouse was at six in the evening so we went there an hour before. When we arrived the clubhouse, we saw and met her friends and classmates from her school. Her friends told us that this plan was awesome for her birthday. While waiting for her, we prepared some party poppers and the birthday song that we're going to use. Finally, when she arrived with our cousin, we switched off the lights and hid under the tables. When they opened the door, we all screamed surprise. and used our party poppers. Allison was actually surprised and touched on what we did for her. She hugged all of us while saying thank you. After hugging and saying thanks you to all of us. She made a short a speech, after her speech we all ate dinner. There are some friends of hers who played the guitar and sang. While the others had a dance number for her. After all the performances, they lighted the candles and then Allison blew her cake. After the blowing of the cake, it actually had a cake war, everybody had fun and got dirty because of the cake. When the cake war was done, we all went the comfort room and cleaned ourselves. Then after getting ourselves cleaned,  we all just danced with the birthday girl.


She had so much fun on that surprise birthday of hers. She had fun starting from the top until the end of the party. So when the party ended, we all left at the same time. While we were going out from the clubhouse, she kept saying thank you to us and she even said that it was one of her best birthdays ever.

2 - Summer Vacation

"My plans for the summer"


There was this day that our family planned some stuff to do for the summer. Each of us actually had some different kinds of plans. Like me, I wanted to play football for the whole summer vacation. And my sister wanted to join a dance class. But our parents told us that we should have a family vacation first. And we all actually agreed for that plan. So we decided that everything that we want to do for summer will just happen after our vacation.


When everything was already planned, our parents thought of going to the beach. We told our parents that it was actually a good plan. So we suggested  some places and ended up going to Cagayan. We said it was a great place for our family vacation. We actually invited some relatives and friends to some with us. We asked them, then they said yes to our invitation. So we booked our tickets all at the same time. Two days before our flight, we were excitingly packing our clothes and stuff. Then we slept very early the night before our flight because were gonna have to wake up very early or else the plane will leave us. So when we woke up, we dressed up, put the bags in the car and left right away. The time we arrived at the airport, we waited a couple of minutes then rode the plane happily and excitingly. During the trip, we had some picture and video taking. When we arrived, we went straight to the hotel to check in for our room. While waiting in the room, we rested a while for just a couple of minutes then after, we left. We road a boat and went to an island to eat and swim. After swimming and everything, we went back to the hotel and rested right away because we got so tired from swimming and playing some of the games. Then the next day, we just ate and drank in some cozy restaurant. That was actually our last day in Cagayan. So we made that day the best of it. Again, we slept very early because of our early flight.


Then we arrived home, we were very tired, exhausted and sleepy. But we all thought that, that vacation was really fun and worth it. So then the next day, we all did everything that each of us have been planning to do for summer.

1 - how to have fun

"Describe a day at the mall"

There is a time we played football early in the morning. It was my elder brother, my cousin and I who played football that day. After playing football, we went home and took a shower. Then, when we were all done taking a shower, we suddenly thought of going to the mall.

When we were finally decided, we thought of inviting two of our lady cousins. So, we asked them if they wanted to come with us to the mall. When they said yes to our invitation, they also took a shower and got ready. When they were ready, we went inside the car and left. But before going to the mall, we were inside the car thinking were to go first. Some said to eat first, then that's the time we go with the activities. When we finally decided, we went inside the mall and ate in the food court. We ate so much that time cause we came from football. While eating, we were thinking where to start our first activity. We all said we wanted to play some games. So we decided to go to Timezone. Right after eating, we went straight to Timezone. The very first game we played was basketball shootout. We actually had a bet of 20 pesos, whoever has the lowest score will pay. When the game ended, I actually won 20 pesos, which was awesome. After playing the basketball shootout, we played air hockey. We had so much fun with the air hockey, we were not able to notice that we have been playing for so many times already. Then we played one game of racing, unfortunately I only won for 3rd place. After finishing the load of the card.,  we decided to watch a movie. We bought seats and got the latest time which was the last full show.

After watching a movie, we rode a car and went home. We had so much fun and hoped to do it again.
